This depiction was born out of searching for my heritage, trying to understand the meaning and reasoning behind my parents teachings and sayings. Most times, this took me to The Edge of Reason. 1st Place Winner in the Art Deco Category for the 2011 American Art Awards. Camille had wandered down to Piggale to listen to the sailors play their music and enjoy their last night in Paris. She sat on one of the barrels outside of the Tavern and drank some wine and just drifted away. It had been a hard week at the Moulin Rouge where she looked after the dancers, dressing them in all of their finery, and wishing that one day she would be on that stage dancing.
